Setting the appoinment

Since I got no replies from the emails and I did not bother to make the overseas calls, I ask a friend who was vacationing in Hong Kong to try to set me up for appointment. She set us up for an appointment on Novemmber 15,2011 at 4pm.

Looking for IVF clinic

October, 2011

After inquiries and research, we either opted for IVF procedure here in Manila, or in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

A friend recommended a clinic in Taiwan, Mackay Memorial Hospital and after inquiries, the medication and procedure would cost roughly U$4,500.00 for the medication, embryo culture and transfer. This is exclusive of airfare, board and lodging and other expenses. My inquiries was only through email but they were friendly enough to give me the full details of the procedure and cost. They can even help you find lodging during your stay, and help you settle.

Our Hong Kong inquiry led us to The Womens Clinic led by Dr. Milton Leung located at Central district, Hong Kong Island. Doctor Leung came highly recommended by several friends and acquaintances based on first hand accounts. http://www.thewomensclinic.com.hk/en/about/. I sent a couple of emails, but received no reply, I'm not sure if I got the wrong email address.

This blog is about my journey into motherhood. After more than 2 years of marriage, and unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant, we finally chose to go the IVF route. I am 39 years old and my husband is 42. What pushed us into the IVF journey is my 2 blocked fallopian tubes. This blog starts starts with our journey into the IVF world, and hope to help those who plan the journey too.
